Standard weights are graded, and the higher the grade, the higher the accuracy. E1-M1 grade weights can be made of stainless steel, while different grades of weights are made of different grades of stainless steel. For laboratories, pharmaceutical factories, electronic scale factories, and other places that require high accuracy, stainless steel weights are generally chosen. The grade of chrome plated weights is relatively low, usually only M1 grade is produced. For those with low grade requirements or low budget, chrome plated weights can be used instead of stainless steel weights.

This is mainly because stainless steel weights have better corrosion resistance, steel materials are better, and the average service life is slightly longer than chrome plated weights. Additionally, when purchasing, it is important to note that stainless steel weights are usually shipped with specialized boxes, but chrome plated weights are often not shipped in boxes. If you need to choose electroplating weights, the weight boxes need to be purchased separately.
